Why Take Up Ballroom Dancing?
There’s a reason why ballroom dancing is just as popular today as when it began. While some enthusiasts like it because of its nostalgic reminders of pure, uncomplicated, joyful times, most participants of ballroom dancing enjoy it for a simple reason- it’s fun! Ballroom dancing is also a great way to achieve or increase physical fitness, coordination, cognitive function and stay healthy overall. It has been proven to be one of the strongest ways to keep the mind active and thriving. In an age where millions worry about the effects of an aging mind, ballroom dance is a spirit-freeing exercise for both the body and the brain. It is also a great way to socialize and meet interesting people from all walks of life, ages and demographics!
To provide an open forum for professional independent dance teachers, pro/am couples, amateur couples and individual dancers to work, grow and enhance the local community through performing arts. Most of all, we want to share the joy and love of ballroom dancing we have with others in a positive and enjoyable environment.
